The Declaration of Conflict -Free Minerals Purchasing Policy


              We hereby declare that Foshan Shunde Leitai Electrical Appliances Manufacturing Co., Ltd. does not to purchase and refuse to use the conflict minerals, or their derivatives that may directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups through mining or mineral trading in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) or an adjoining country.

              Reported by EICC that some of the metal minerals have become the main source of funds for the armed rebel groups in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which are used to trade arms and continue their bloody clashes with the government, ravaging local civilians and thus causing international disputes. Foshan Shunde Leitai Electrical Appliances Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is as a citizen of the world, we swear and promise not to use metal from the conflict minerals. Also require our suppliers:

(1) must fulfill social and environmental responsibility;

(2) to ensure that products do not use "conflict minerals" from Congolese gold and its neighboring countries and regions;

(3) trace the source of gold (Au), tantalum (Ta), tin (Sn), tungsten (W) contained in all products;

(4) communicate this request to its upstream supplier.

             Conflicting metal: refers to minerals from the conflict zone of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, with niobium tantalite, cassiterite, black tungsten and gold. These minerals are extracted into ternary (Ta), tin (Sn), tungsten (W) (Abbr. 3TG), cobalt (Co) and gold (Au), respectively, for electronics and other products.

             In the near future, the metals from certain smelters will be banned, so all key suppliers must trace the metal sources and smelters used by their parts. In addition, metals exported from the following countries are not in compliance with the "conflict-free norms": the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Rwanda, Uganda, Burundi, Tanzania, Kenya (the United Nations Security Council finds that the above countries are minerals of the Congo vein).

Foshan Shunde Leitai Electrical Appliances Manufacturing Co., Ltd. hereby formulated the "conflict mining procurement policy", made the following commitments:

(1) do not buy conflict minerals from conflict areas;

(2) require suppliers to refuse to use conflicting minerals from conflict areas and sign a promise of non-conflicting minerals to the Company.

(3) require the company's suppliers, and its upstream and downstream suppliers, to comply with the requirements of conflict-free mineral policy.

(4) It is forbidden to purchase the conflicting minerals from the Congo and its neighboring countries.
